For those of you who know me, you know that I love my sleep! I can pretty much curl up anywhere, anytime & take a nap. And, no matter how hot it is, I like a blanket. I'm not one of those people who could sleep until noon (even in my college days), but I can go to bed at 8pm with no problem at all!
Now, why am I telling you all of this?
Because, sleep in our house is never guaranteed, especially in the last 6 months...or make that 2.5 years!
Let me expand...
Reagan in bed by 7:30 pm & no peeps until say 2 am, when she cries super loud. We go in to check on her & as soon as she's picked up, she's silent & sleeping in your arms. Sweet, but a bad habit. Now, on a good night she & I are back in bed in 5-10 mins. On a rough night, she wakes up Graham & then all 4 of us are up for probably 30 mins. Then, we all sleep soundly until sometime between 5-6 am, when Reagan is super loud again - repeat same scenario. This last one leaves Eric & I up for the day to get ready for work & sometimes both kids sleeping until 7 or 7:30am. Other times, our showers, shaving, hair drying, etc is interrupted to get someone out of bed.
So, Friday night both kids are in bed by 8:30pm & we didn't hear a peep until 6:30am! Reagan got up for "breakfast", then went right back to sleep. Graham didn't wake up until 8am, then Reagan back up closer to 9am! AMAZING!
I wish I could say that Saturday night was more of the same, but it was NOT! Then, Sunday night was a little better.
We are super thankful for CAFFEINE these days!
(oh, and let me add that on top of the itnerrupted sleep patterns, we decided it was time to get in shape & work out 2 mornings a week at 5:30 am)
