2 years Old

Really? No way! I really can't believe it! What fun we have had with our Nicholas Graham over these past 2 years!

He really is such a great kid! He is always thinking of others. For example, the week of his Birthday we frequently sang Happy Birthday. He loved to switch it up to Happy Birthday to Mommy or Daddy or whoever was on his mind! (murphie & monkeys were regulars as well)

The Dr. said Graham was growing & developing right on queue. G took in his new stethescope to show the Dr. . He didn't even cry when he got his shot...just a little jump, then he wanted to check out the cool roadrunner bandaid. (no more shots til he's 5!!)

A few Graham-isms:

-LOVES nursery rhymes & can quote almost every one

-Will mix them up from time to time to incorporate the word monkey (e.g. Yankee Doodle - stuck a feather in his hat & called it "monkey-roni")

-favorite songs right now are Mommy Mommy mo Mommy banana-fana fo fommy (again, he will sing it for everyone he knows). He also loves "this old man, he played 2...nick nack patty wack". I think he thinks that ooo, eee, ooo, ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang is a monkey song

-Still loves his "green eee eee" blanket. I'm so glad he still calls it eee eee...cause any other kind of monkeys he calls a monkey. He mostly loves 3 of the "corners" on this blanket - he holds these 3 corners all tight in his hand where the blanket looks like a hobo bag. He gets upset if he drops one or can't find one when he needs it.

-Talks in the 3rd person, which is really cute at this age :)

-Loves to count, however thinks it's silly to leave out 7 and 8...he does it really fast - 1,2,3,4,5,6,9, 10, 11...

-Melts my heart everyday with his smile, his eyes and the sweet things he says. One night while putting him to bed, I started his prayers, "Now I lay me down to sleep" and he responded "Our Father who art in Heaven". Two different prayers, but hearing those words in a sweet 2 yr. old voice will bring tears to your eyes. He says "Amen" at the end of each prayer which is also so precious!

-Still likes to wake up early & get about his day! Since in his big boy bed, he has a clock in his room and knows he can get up at "seven o o" (7:00). However, sometime between 6:15 - 6:45 he wakes up and sings songs, reads books, tells stories, bangs on his door, until "mommy daddy come get graham" at 7:00. One day this will sink in right? One night as I was tucking him in, he said "Graham wake up at 7:00 already!" the kid hadn't even gone to bed yet & was excited to wake up!
