Clifford the Big Red Dog!

Funny story ...

Graham was at the Church Playgroup and quickly became attached to a stuffed Clifford the Big Red Dog (he occasionally watches the show & has a Clifford book that he loves). Now, this boy LOVES dogs (& really all animals)! This dog was not like any of his other stuffed dogs, it had a collar & a big bone that said "Clifford".

When it was time to put the toys away & get ready to leave, Grandma said that "we'll put Clifford away and play with him next week". This was NOT what Graham had in mind. He began sobbing "DOG, DOG, DOG...snif, snif" and the tears soaked his vest. They left (sans Clifford) and the whole way home (all of about 3 miles), Graham said "Doooogggg, doooggggg".

Once home, Grandma got him a stuffed dog from his toys (although, not a Clifford dog). And he said "noooo, doooogggggg".

It will be interesting to see if he finds his long, lost friend Clifford this Sunday at Church. If so, it may be another sad goodbye.
