8 months + 10 days

I was wwwaaayyyy too busy at 7 months to fill everyone in on all the trouble that I'm getting into...

So, a little past my 8 month birthday, I thought I'd take a breather & recap the past 2 months!

-It all started with rolling back & forth across the floor to get where I wanted to go

-Then, it quickly turned into an army crawl...a very determined crawl...one elbow bent, the other arm to reach, and my toes to push on the floor...it's quite unique!

-Now, that I am mobile I have found many interesting items around the house - plants & power cords are the most interesting - I even found my way to an electrical outlet (moments after I watched Daddy put in the childproof cap!). Some other items of interest are the a/c vents, hinges on the doors, everything that dangles in momma & daddy's closet, magazines, books, dog bones...you name it...I've found it!

-I LOVE to look under the rugs...the only thing I've found so far is a tag...which are also very entertaining to me these days!

-I'm guessing that I weigh somewhere around 20lbs...

-I love to jump, jump, jump...it's quite a workout for whoever is holding me!

-Sounds: most recently it's all DA DA DA...sometimes it sounds like DUH DUH DUH though :). I was saying, usually pouting, ma ma mahhhh with a particularly sad face that always got Momma's attention. Recently there is even a BBBB sound. I made everyone laugh last weekend when I was making some F & G sounds...Momma said if they were words that they didn't sound like nice ones.

-Murphie always knows how to make me smile & laugh...no matter what my mood!

-Gummy smile - still no teeth! I keep tricking everyone into thinking they are coming soon, but only I know :)

-I can be a fussy eater sometimes, but then decide things aren't that bad. Like puffs (meltable fruity cheerio things)...I wanted nothing to do with these the past few weeks, then yesterday decided they were SO good! I love teething bisquits & make a fun mess when eating them! I eat lots of different fruits & veggies, but definitely prefer the fruits over the veggies.

-I ROCK! I get up on my hands & knees and rock, rock, rock. Sometimes I will put each hand forward, then bunny hop with my knees...then, it's back to the army crawl.

-I've been to the zoo twice with Grandma & love the swans!! I got a little scared of the tiger whenever he would walk toward the glass though. I was so lucky, I even got to see the Baby Elephant last week!

-I hear the word "No" from time to time. The first few times, it really hurt my feelings & I cried BIG crocodile tears. I hear it most commonly when I try to crawl away while getting my diaper changed. Based on the babyproofing survey, it sounds like everyone wants me to really learn this word!
