First trip to the Dr

I was so excited for the first trip to the Dr. to confirm that there was actually a baby in there! Now, by this point I had taken 3 pregnancy test...all of which were positive.

They took blood, urine, a pap, weight, blood pressure, etc. I get a message a few days later from the Dr. stating that everything looked great and Congratulations! I called the office back because I wanted to better understand what all they tested. The nurse said "your blood results all came back negative"...I said "Negative?"...she said "yes, no infection or anything to worry about". I then questioned, "but positive for pregnancy", she said "we don't test for that here in the office, since you did that at home". Then, I asked if the urine test indicated positive for pregnancy, the nurse kindly said that "the test we use here are the same that you use at home, so no need to spend the extra money". I was very curious to know "how did the Dr. really know I was pregnant?"

The answer is "yes" and Baby Sanders is expected to arrive around August 30, 2008!
