So, Eric and I's vacation to California...
We were planning to leave on Saturday for San Francisco, spend a couple of days in the city, then off to Napa & Sonoma to visit a few vineyards. Graham was planning to stay at Grandma & Grandpa's house. A nice, romantic get-a-way...kind of like a "babymoon"!
All was well planned until...Friday morning...G woke up with the stomach flu (i will spare the details). Our flight wasn't until 5:30 pm Saturday, so we debated "should we stay or should we go?"... G hadn't been sick in 24 hours & was keeping down his fluids, and neither Eric nor I were sick....yet!?!
Until.... 5 minutes into the first leg of the flight to Phoenix...yeah...4.5 hour flight with the stomach flu...MISERABLE! Again, I will spare the details...thankfully, we were toward the back of the plane & near the restroom. When we got to Phoenix there was no way we could get on another plane and fly another 2 hours, so we talked to an agent who found a flight back to Columbus on Sunday night and found a nearby hotel with vacancy & airport shuttle.
Our romantic get-a-way turned into a one night stay in Phoenix...where it was 90 degrees, but we didn't get more than 5 minutes outside.
To make it even worse...while Grandpa took us to the airport Grandma came down with the bug...then, later Saturday night...Grandpa. (thanks for taking such great care of Graham while you were feeling bad yourselves)
This was some super bug that is never welcome again :(

That is so sad!! I'm sorry to hear you were all so sick. Hopefully you can plan another fun vacation soon!.
oh no!!! I was just wondering how your vacation went and was going to call ... so sorry! And can I say I HATE that you were in PHX and I didn't even get to see you!!!! I hope you guys reschedule your trip and that you're all feeling better now!
