Heartbeat

My next visit was another weight, urine and blood pressure check...AND to hear that precious heartbeat again. I was filled with anticipation lying there on the table as the technician brought in the doppler. She was moving the probe around on my belly and it was like listening to an AM radio...filled with static. Little did I know that all of that static and wind/water wooshing around was the baby doing some water aerobics. She finally got the baby to stay still long enough to hear the heartbeat, "pow, pow, pow". The heart was pounding at 165!
